  • 2 tablespoons chicory root syrup (or your preferred sugar substitute)

  • 2 large apples, cored and sliced (preferably Granny Smith or Fuji)
  • 2 tablespoons chicory root syrup (or another sugar substitute)
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil (or butter)
Prepare the Spiced Apples
In a medium skillet, melt the coconut oil over medium heat. Add the sliced apples, chicory root syrup, cinnamon, and lemon juice. Stir well to combine. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the apples are tender and caramelized. Remove from heat and set aside.
