FAQs

What do bee pollen granules taste like?

Floral and slightly sweet, with a bitter edge that varies by season and forage. The flavour changes batch to batch because the bees decide which flowers to visit, not us.

Should I sprinkle it or blend it?

Both work, but they give different results. Sprinkled over yoghurt, porridge or smoothie bowls the granules keep their crunch. Blended into a smoothie they disappear entirely, which suits anyone who finds the floral note strong.

Can I take bee pollen if I have a pollen allergy?

Please do not start without medical advice. Bee pollen can trigger reactions in people sensitive to pollen or bee products, and reactions can be severe. Speak to your doctor first, and if you have ever had an anaphylactic reaction, avoid it entirely.

Why does the colour vary between bags?

Each granule is a different flower, so colour ranges from pale yellow through orange to near-black depending on what was in bloom. A mixed-colour bag is a sign of varied forage rather than a fault.

Where can I buy bee pollen in Ireland?

Our raw bee pollen granules are available to order from nuanaturals.com and are delivered throughout Ireland. You will also find it in SuperValu and Holland & Barrett, and our store locator will show you the closest shop (range varies by store). Bee pollen is not always easy to find on a supermarket shelf, so ordering direct is usually the simplest route.
