Health Food BBQ Sauce
Naturally sweet, smoky, and packed with plant-powered goodness.


Ingredients:
- 3 tbsp tomato paste
- 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 1.5 tbsp Nua Naturals coconut sugar
- 1.5 tbsp tamari or soy sauce
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
- 1 tsp Nua Naturals cacao powder
- 1 tsp Nua Naturals maca powder
- 4–5 tbsp water (adjust to desired thickness)
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp Nua Naturals hemp seeds (optional)
- 1 tsp mustard (optional)
Mix
In a bowl or small saucepan, combine all ingredients and mix until smooth.
If Serving Cold
Whisk thoroughly and refrigerate for 30 minutes to let the flavours blend.
If Serving Warm
Simmer gently over low heat for 5–7 minutes until thickened and glossy.
Taste & Adjust
Add more coconut sugar for sweetness or more vinegar for tang.
SERVING SUGGESTION
- Use as a glaze on grilled vegetables, jackfruit sliders, or tofu skewers.
- Drizzle over nourish bowls or roasted sweet potatoes.
- Stir into baked beans for a picnic-friendly side dish.
